Natalia Rubinstein
Graduated from the Moscow Gnessins Music School, the Gnessins Russian Academy of Music and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She was a pupil of Tatiana Zelikman, Tatiana Gaidamovich and Alexander Bonduriansky. Winner of international competitions in Italy in 1993 and Germany in 1996. Founder of the Brahms Trio. She has performed also with Charles Neidich, Alexander Kniazev, Galina Pisarenko, Hibla Gerzmava, Karmen Balthrop among others. Artistic Director of the International Festival of Arts ‘Art-November’ (1994–2013). She is a Professor of chamber music at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, recipient of the award ‘For the Prominent Contribution to the Development of Culture’, and the title Honoured Artist of Russia. In 2021-2022, as a member of the Brahms Trio she was nominated for the International Classical Music Award (ICMA) and for the Opus Klassik Award for the project "History of the Russian Piano Trio". She has also received a personal nomination for the "Significant addition to repertoire" of the Opus Klassik Award 2022.
