Kirill Rodin

Born in 1963. He studied at the Moscow Gnessin’s Music School. He received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied with professors Vera Birina and Natalia Schakhovskaya.

Kirill Rodin won the First Prize at the XIV Jeunesses Musicales Competition for Cellists in Belgrade in 1984, and was awarded the Gold Medal at the 8th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1986. Kirill Rodin's concert tours as recitalist and soloist with orchestra have taken him to over 50 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Americas. His discography includes works by Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Piazzolla.
